Company Overview:
ACEL Power Inc. is a leader in green technology, crafting innovative electric outboard engines that allow enthusiasts to enjoy nature on the water in an eco-friendly manner. We are expanding our executive team and are in search of a Chief Operations Officer (COO) to streamline our operational processes and spearhead growth initiatives.

Job Summary:
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will oversee the company's operational functions, excluding finance and IT, though the role requires extensive collaboration with these departments. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO will ensure operational excellence across all business segments, supporting our strategic vision and leading our expansion efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business strategies to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Oversee the company’s operational practices, making sure each division is running smoothly and aligns with projected plans and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the major operational functions of the company, such as sales, HR, marketing, production, procurement, supply chain, and logistics.
  • Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
  • Enhance management and operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization's mission.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing managerial team while managing succession planning for current and future operational needs.
  • Participate in expansion activities, managing and increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of supportive services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between functions.
  • Handle relationships with partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chief Operations Officer or a similar senior management role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position overseeing multiple aspects of a business.
  • Strong operational experience and an excellent track record in strategic planning and business development.
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience, with a significant emphasis on operational roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; MSc/MBA or relevant graduate degree strongly preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities, including excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
  • Effective, versatile, and action-oriented.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the aptitude for decision-making.
