The role of Chief Operating Officer is an extremely important position. It is the heart of this well-oiled, fast-paced, team-oriented machine that is Gateway Business Intermediaries. We are looking for a unique personality with a strong voice, and the power to tell it like it is. Someone who questions why, and is a clear and concise communicator.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Extreme ownership and accountability for daily operations and results, including all aspects of deal flow and client relations.
  • Continue with development and implementation of policies and procedures necessary to achieve our mission.
  • Ensure business processes and workflows are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the company’s goals and objectives, and improve the efficiency of brokers, analysts, and support staff.
  • Identify, implement, and manage technology platforms that support business transactions, client management (CRM), and marketing.
  • Work with the marketing team to implement and oversee strategies necessary to achieve KPI’s and growth in reputation, which includes oversight of the website.
  • Responsible for strategic and operational support to the Founder. Supporting Annual, Quarterly, and Monthly planning and leading Weekly and daily planning.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to define long-term strategic goals and business growth plans, being the integrator, leading and championing constant and never ending innovation and growth.
  • Collaborate and support the CEO with Leading, managing, and/or mentoring the brokerage team, including brokers, administrative staff, and analysts.
  • Oversee recruitment and integration of new employees, support company culture and employee engagement.
  • Support CEO with ongoing deals, filing, contract preparation (administrative).
  • Solution focused, always.
  • Whatever it takes to achieve other duties as required in a rapidly evolving environment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
  • 10 years of progressive operational and sales management experience, or equivalent.
  • High level experience within the Tech Space to support growth in automations, training with focus around multi-tier growth considered an asset.
  • Experience in the Real Estate and M&A industry is considered an asset.
  • Experience in Commercial Finance will be given extra consideration.

Requirements

  • Kick ass attitude and fun to work with!
  • Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer or similar executive role in companies of similar complexity and growth vision.
  • Highly detailed in planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, marketing, client relations, HR, etc.).
  • Exceptional problem-solving aptitude.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $110,000 - $135,000 per year
