This is one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. They are looking for a multi-talented leader to join their highly ambitious team to take the business to the next level and assume the position of Chief Operating Officer. This role requires a retail leader with a deep understanding of retail operations with a focus on eCommerce, the ability to thrive in a high-growth entrepreneurial environment, and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the COO, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and driving the overall growth and success of the company. You will be required to wear many hats as we build the business.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Strategic Leadership: Execute on the company's long-term vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives, particularly in enhancing digital transformation. Identify growth and expansion opportunities (including M&A), and banner strategies for subsidiary businesses.
  • Marketing & Sales: Develop and implement data-driven marketing and sales strategies specifically designed to accelerate growth in eCommerce. Focus on expanding market share, driving customer engagement, and strengthening brand loyalty across all digital platforms.
  • Change Management: Transform our eCommerce-focused order-taking culture into a dynamic, proactive sales and customer service organization. Shift the mindset from transactional to relationship-driven.
  • Operations & Financial Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring that the team is accountable for hitting performance targets and delivering results. Set clear KPIs, conduct regular reviews, and provide actionable feedback to optimize efficiency.
  • Innovation & Technology: Champion innovative technologies and retail models to keep the company competitive in the evolving retail landscape, with a strong focus on eCommerce.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, business partners, and other stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience in managing or supporting an omni-channel business.
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Proven success in managing large teams and leading profitable businesses.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
