Job Summary:
The Chief of Staff is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for medical affairs, providing administration and the medical staff with knowledge, experience and leadership from a medical management perspective. The Chief of Staff facilitates communication and understanding among the various clinical components
of the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre delivery system, assuring provision of high-quality care to the patients serviced at the hospital.
This position requires a physician with experience in the administration of hospital operations, licensed to practice in Ontario, has an active practice and resides in Sioux Lookout. Experience working with physicians, physician practices, coaching and mentoring peers, and working with a diverse cross section of all service providers within the hospital setting is required. The successful candidate will be required to represent the Hospital in local, regional and provincial forum(s) to ensure alignment and integration of Hospital services with those of the health care system.
You will require skills in building relationships with administration and community boards. As part of the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre Team, the Chief of Staff recognizes leadership and building partnerships both within and outside the hospital setting to be crucial to the success and achievement of the Hospital’s Mission, Vision and Values and strategic direction for the growth of the organization. require travel and the hours of work are flexible.
