THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, the Chief Financial Officer will lead a team of approximately 30 staff including six direct reports. It is a key role for the City, responsible for statutory and management accounting as well as procurement. You will provide contemporary leadership to ensure the City’s financial sustainability through effective long term financial planning, robust controls, and asset protection measures. Additionally, you will drive strategic change management to support the organisation’s goals and foster innovation with a view to improve service delivery and customer experience.
REQUIREMENTS
The City is seeking a tertiary qualified finance professional with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of effective leadership of a finance team. This role requires someone with well-developed financial strategic analysis skills and demonstrated success in managing organisational change and business transformation initiatives. Knowledge of Local Government is desirable.
