Current projects include the premier provincial asset Bayview Place – a mixed-used development in the heart of Victoria. The 20-acre hilltop site is adjacent to the provincial capital’s inner harbour, a 10-minute walk from downtown, and includes four districts.
The role -
The Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") will report directly to the Owner and will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. The CFO will oversee all financial functions of the organization and will play a critical role in guiding and managing the evaluation, financing, negotiation and closing of real estate investment opportunities, including asset dispositions and leasing. Furthermore, the CFO will work in partnership with the Owner in formulating the company's future direction and supporting the development of strategic initiatives.
The CFO will have responsibility for managing and reporting on all fiscal and fiduciary affairs of Focus, including reporting to ownership, investors and lenders; cash and investment management; budgeting and forecasting; and managing the day to day operations of the accounting department.
Additionally, the CFO will direct the implementation of strategic business plans, supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiation, assist in managing investor relations, secure appropriate financing requirements, as well as monitor and manage risk.
