The Township of Spallumcheen is looking to fill a vital role within our corporation in 2024 and would like to invite interested candidates to submit their application for the Chief Financial Officer position. This role forms part of our dynamic management team. We are looking for a professional with strong leadership and local government finance experience, particularly in a management role.
The CFO reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and is responsible for the overall financial management of the corporation including the Township’s Annual budget, preparation of the financial statements, and facilitating the annual audit process. This position will fulfill the statutory duties of the Chief Financial Officer in accordance with the BC Community Charter.
A competitive salary range ($115,000 to $130,000 annually) and comprehensive benefits package are offered, with the wage contingent on experience and years of service within local government as well as knowledge of the province of BC legislation. CMA certification is preferred; however, applicants working towards completion of the CMA program will be considered.
