We are thrilled to be partnering with them to bring a Chief Financial Officer to their well-established team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure transparent and accountable financial reporting and strategies that align with the association's purpose, relevance, and goals.
  • Lead the association's Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee in support of the CEO.
  • Manage and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board of Directors, providing analysis and recommendations as needed.
  • Oversee the annual planning and budgeting process, working closely with our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and ELT to develop departmental and operational assumptions and requirements.
  • Manage the budget approval process in conjunction with the CEO and ELT.
  • Act as part of the association's ELT, providing strategic and financial guidance.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Report on the financial performance and health of the association.
  • Represent the association at internal and external events and meetings.
  • Oversee all tax filings and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adequate risk management plans are in place, including maintaining appropriate insurance coverage and overseeing strategic investments.
  • Other related duties as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • CPA designation.
  • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, overseeing financial reporting and compliance, and developing and implementing financial strategies.
  • Experience in supporting philanthropic efforts and understanding donor expectations.
  • Strong service leadership experience building high-performing teams.
  • A strategic leader, able to develop and implement long-term plans that support the association's purpose and relevance.
  • Excellent analytical, creative problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High proficiency in financial management and accounting software.
