Job duties:
- Manage the company and make executive decisions regarding the company’s goals and strategies.
- Oversee cross-functional teams – including the marketing, sales and production teams – to refine and finalize product designs.
- Identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and the competitive landscape in the textile and home products industry.
- Analyse market data to inform product development strategies and identify potential opportunities for new product offerings.
- Oversee the testing process of raw materials and products to ensure they meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Manage a portfolio of textile and home products, ensuring a diverse and competitive range of offerings.
- Manage the end-to-end product development process, from initial concept to final production.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective production of new products.
- Collaborate with packaging suppliers to select sustainable and cost-effective materials.
- Ensure packaging designs comply with regulatory requirements and align with brand standards.
- Implement quality control processes at the company to ensure all products meet the company’s standards for quality and performance.
- Manage design and development projects to ensure that deadlines and budget constraints are met.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of product development projects.
- Evaluate, refine, and implement processes at the company to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure that training and mentorship is provided to new team members.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment in the workplace.
Terms of employment: Permanent and full-time.

Wage: $61.54 per hour.

Skills requirements:
Required education:
- A university degree or college diploma in commerce, business administration, finance or another related discipline.
Required work experience and skills:
- 2 – 3 years of experience managing a company.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in textile and home products design and development with an import company.
- Substantial experience in textile/home product design and market trends.
- Substantial knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and market trends.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for innovation and creativity.
- Strong collaboration and team building skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Auto CAD, or similar design tools.
- A background in retail is preferred.
