Job Description:

CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) is recruiting a Division Chief and pediatric psychiatrist to actively lead clinical care, teaching, and research in the Division of Community-Based Psychiatry .

The successful candidate will lead a team of 16 fellowship-trained physicians who provide comprehensive and specialized psychiatric and mental health and addiction services to children and youth, age 0-18, and families.

We pride ourselves with an academic environment that encompasses many clinical opportunities including inpatients, outpatients, eating disorders, Rapid Response, consult liaison services, neuropsychology, Dual Diagnosis, Therapeutic school-based services, infant and early childhood mental health, trauma treatment, working with marginalized populations, and numerous community collaborations.

Candidates must be eligible for a full-time academic appointment in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa. CHEO is a bi-lingual organization and while English is the language of the health record, functionality in French is an asset.

Eligibility for a license to practice medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is mandatory. Candidates must be certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Canada or equivalent.
