Chemist II (Fixed Term-18 months)

Overview

Element Mississauga has current openings for a Chemist II to join our growing team for an 18-month fixed term assignment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and/or inorganic substances
• Utilizes established methods and procedures and laboratory equipment to perform analytical testing of substances
• Conducts method validation and supports development
• Interprets and develops conclusions using the data obtained
• Participates in failure investigations/deviations
• Supports the production of client reports and quotes

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in analytical chemistry or life sciences
• 2-5 Years relevant Experience. Experience with SPE and LCMS preferred
• Good time management and prioritization
• Intermediate reading, writing, and math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan daily work and arrange activities to meet deadlines
• Follows instructions, both written and verbal, and able to provide clear instruction to others
• Good critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
