Chemical Technician - Kelowna, BC

Job Summary:
As a Chemical Technician/Sales, you will work with automatic and tunnel car wash owners to make their facilities operate at peak efficiency. One day you might be doing site assessments; other days you might be reacting to wash quality complaints or helping install new chemical delivery systems. In the sales side of your role, you will prospect and win new chemical accounts by developing sales pipelines, determining likely prospects, and creating value propositions.

Job Duties:

1. Responsible for becoming an expert on all NCS cleaning solutions and how they will perform when utilized in all types of professional car wash equipment found in the marketplace today.
2. Provides professional and technical expertise in the delivery and usage of NCS products. Knows how to position the NCS brand as the leader in the marketplace and the best car wash solutions on the market.
3. Assess the full wash process, looking at how the water, chemical, and equipment work together in harmony to produce a clean car.
4. Measure and adjust chemical delivery systems, and troubleshoot wash components.
5. Work with car wash owners and managers to explain your observations, actions, and recommendations.
6. Build reports to follow up and document your work for the site owners.
7. Identify priorities, set goals, and make them happen.
8. Prospect and win new chemical accounts by developing sales pipelines, determining likely prospects, and creating value propositions.
9. Make chemical transitions with the customer, providing all technical assistance required.
10. Report weekly progress on your pipeline.
11. Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies.
12. Any other duties as assigned by the Corporate Account Manager or Senior Leadership team.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations within the past 5 years; no more than 2 preventable, at-fault accidents within the past 5 years.
3. No impaired driving convictions within the past 5 years, and no charges currently pending.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. Ability to travel several times during the month.
6. Basic proficiency in Excel.
7. Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift light to medium weight up to 50 lbs.
2. May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations.
3. Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Salary Range: $50-$52k based on experience.
