Education

Experience: Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Tasks

  1. Conduct sampling and analysis using chromatography techniques
  2. Conduct tests and analysis using other physical and chemical separation techniques
  3. Maintain laboratory equipment
  4. Operate laboratory apparatus
  5. Set up chemical experiments, tests and analyses
  6. Use techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical and chemical separation techniques and microscopy
  7. Assist in set up and conduction of chemical experiments
  8. Compile records for analytical studies using MS Office
  9. Assist in developing programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards
  10. Assist in development of standards and health and safety measures
  11. Assist in the development of chemical engineering processes, studies of chemical engineering procurement, construction, inspection and maintenance
  12. Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results
  13. Assist in design and fabrication of experimental apparatus
  14. Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis
  15. Prepare solutions of gas or liquid, reagents, and sample formulations
  16. Conduct safety training programs
