PRIMARY ROLE:

Apply chemicals as a licensed applicator, with all required protective equipment. Position is to start in Spring 2025. Specific date will depend on weather.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

1. Outdoor Field & City Position. Must be able to withstand summer conditions for long periods of time. Walking long distances is a requirement.
2. Class 5 Drivers License is a Requirement - No exceptions.
3. Attention to safety rules and regulations is a MUST.
4. Required to work independently as well as part of a team.
5. Mix pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides for application to trees, shrubs, lawns and open fields/compounds.
6. Fill sprayer tanks, and mix chemicals according to formula.
7. Identify lawn or plant diseases to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
8. Cover areas to specified depths with pesticides, applying knowledge of weather conditions, droplet sizes, elevation-to-distance ratios, and obstructions. Attention to detail is an asset.
9. When weather does not permit work as an Applicator, perform landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, and pruning.
10. Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, dump trailers, chainsaws, line trimmers, and tillers.
11. Perform landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, top soil application, lawn seeding.
12. Potential to assist with equipment maintenance and repair under supervision of the Team Leader.

Experienced and/or licensed applicants will be given priority. We are willing to provide the Pesticide Applicator Course through Great Plains College for the right candidate.

Wage: $20-$25 an hour depending on experience. Competitive Wages. Benefits Available.
