The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Training Services Manager to join our Training Services team in the Customer Services business unit based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work with multiple interfaces involved in the overall delivery of aircraft training to Airbus A220 Customers. This important role falls in the frame of the integration of A220 Training Services with Airbus SAS Training and Commercial.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

As Training Services Manager, you will be the focal point for training project management activities including customer training definition and planning for entry-into-service (EIS) and aftermarket training services. You will anticipate, analyze and report risks, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout the training project lifecycle.

Your challenges:

  1. Coordinate the delivery of training services in line with the aircraft Purchase Agreement, and aftermarket services contracts obligations, delivering or exceeding customer expectations for all training activities;
  2. Foster strong relationships with Authorized Training Providers (ATPs) including Flight Training Alliance (FTA) and Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT) as well as other training suppliers including Airbus SAS, ensuring their contractual obligations to Airbus Canada are maintained;
  3. Oversee training projects from initiation to closure as per internal guidelines and best practices for delivery of services to A220 customers at the highest levels of profitability;
  4. Understand unique customer requirements and prepare and present training conference material in line with customer training needs, building on improvements project-by-project;
  5. Issue commercial offers for payment of chargeable services, initiate services contracts and ensure invoicing is aligned with contractual terms and conditions;
  6. Coordinate training schedules with the service providers and customers and ensure adherence to schedule;
  7. Support governance reporting for senior management and customer reviews, and present them as required to respective team members;
  8. Analyze customer challenges and implement necessary strategies for specific customers;
  9. Support the standardization of customer experience throughout the growing Airbus and A220 training network worldwide, ensuring Airbus and Airbus Canada’s Quality standards are met;
  10. Communicate performance results (financial and customer experience) and highlight the best course of action for improvement when required.

Your boarding pass:

  1. You have an undergraduate degree, preferably in a project management or business administration;
  2. You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the commercial aviation industry, preferably in a role related to aviation training;
  3. Knowledge of Aviation Training Organizations operations is considered an asset;
  4. Knowledge of Pilot Training curriculums and Simulator Device management is considered an asset;
  5. You have relevant contract management, procurement, negotiation, SAP and administration experience;
  6. Experience working with Finance and Accounting departments would be an asset;
  7. You have strong interpersonal skills and are capable of supporting high degrees of interactions with customers, service providers and internal stakeholders;
  8. You have strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex subjects, both financial and non-financial, in a simplified manner;
  9. You possess strong computer literacy skills;
  10. You are a highly autonomous and a team player who requires minimal management oversight;
  11. You are a resourceful problem solver comfortable with providing solutions;
  12. You enjoy working in an environment where there is a high diversity in work scope and where day-to-day activities are dynamic;
  13. You are fluent in both French and English.

Occasional travel is required for this position.
