  1. Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  2. Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
  3. Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
  4. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  5. Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
