Blizzard is looking for a highly motivated and talented Character Concept Artist to join our Overwatch art team in Korea.

In this role, you will use your concept and drawing skills to bring new characters and creatures to life and expand the horizons of Overwatch.

Your broader experience with game development and the character pipeline will help you work collaboratively with designers, 3D artists, technical artists, and animators to ensure that you are always putting gameplay first when it comes to developing amazing characters.

In short, you’ll be part of a close-knit, collaborative community of artists, engineers, and designers in our Korea Studio whose sole goal is to make a truly epic and immersive game experience.

담당업무 Responsibilities

• 캐릭터 디자인, 모션 연구, 장비 및 무기등을 포함한 캐릭터 컨셉과 스킨 개발
• 리드아티스트와의 협력은 물론 제작된 에셋이 게임플레이와 테크니컬한 조건에 맞는지 확인을 위해 3D 모델러, 테크니컬 아티스트 등 같은 파이프라인의 다른 분야와도 능동적인 협력
• 오버워치팀의 일원으로 아트 토론 및 리뷰에 적극적인 참여와 건설적인 피드백 주고받기
• Develop character concepts and skins including character sheets, movement studies and detailed breakouts for equipment and weapons
• Assist Lead Artist and actively cooperate with internal production teams, including 3D Character Art and Tech Art, to confirm game assets meet technical requirements
• As part of the larger Overwatch team, you will be an active participant in team art discussions, and reviews as well as give/receive constructive feedback

지원자격 Minimum Requirements

경험 Experience

• 6년 이상 게임회사 재직 및 프리랜서 경력을 지닌 컨셉 아티스트
• 포토샵, 페인터 등의 디지털 아트 제작 프로그램 사용 경험
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in animation, film or game development focusing on conceptual artwork
• Experienced with digital content creation tools such as Photoshop, Painter, etc

지식 및 기술 Knowledge & Skills

• 인체해부학에 대한 깊은 이해와 일러스트레이션 및 디자인과 관련된 형태, 모양, 구조 및 실루엣에 대한 높은 지식
• 빛, 명암, 구성 및 색상에 대한 탁월한 안목
• 떠오른 아이디어를 추상적인 단계에서 완성된 이미지로 구현할 수 있고, 해당 아이디어를 이해하여 실시간 게임 환경에 반영할 수 있는 능력
• 명확하고 시기 적절한 커뮤니케이션 능력
• 독특한 오버워치 비주얼 스타일에 대한 이해와 더 좋은 방향으로 발전시키고자 하는 열정
• 한국 거주 중인 외국인의 경우 업무수행이 가능한 수준의 유창한 한국어 실력
• A deep understanding of human and creature anatomy and a keen eye towards form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regards to illustration and design
• Excellent eye for light, value, composition, and color
• Able to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration and an understanding of translating these ideas to real-time game environments
• Clear and timely communication skills
• Understanding of the distinctive Overwatch visual style and a passion to push it to the next level
• Fluent in written and spoken Korean
