The chaplain works in concert with all other departments at South Country Village to ensure that the very best care for our residents, family members, and staff is provided in a consistent and meaningful manner. The chaplain is responsible for the coordination of pastoral care activities within South Country Village, consistent with the Society’s mission, vision, and values.
Requirements and Qualifications
Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferably an ordained pastor, with several years experience in a church or in institutional chaplaincy, or related work.
Computer knowledge.
Criminal records check.
Experience working with seniors.
Experience with chaplaincy services and liaises with the church community.
Able to provide counselling.
Able to perform basic church rites.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Able to organize and manage files, tasks, schedules, and information.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Ability to effectively work independently and within a team.
