CFA Foundations Drill Rig Operator

The Foundation Drill Rig Operator is responsible for understanding all function of the drill rig they are operating, following the OEM Manuals for safety, operations, & maintenance, and Hall Shoring & Foundation Safety Program. The operator is responsible for pre-trip equipment inspections prior to operation, ensure damages or required repairs are documented and reported to site supervisor.

Your day-to-day will look like:

1. Operate company drill rig in safe manor and to OEM specifications
2. Complete basic maintenance
3. Report damage or repairs are reported to site supervisor immediately
4. Assist with training and development of new workers
5. Maintain and complete daily paperwork provided by site supervisor
6. Ensure any unsafe activities or direction that is given, the operator is to stop work and report to site supervisor
7. Ensure proper foundation location is being completed (with help from ground personal)
8. Help ensure foundation quality is maintained as per design specifications
9. Comply with all site safety rules
10. Help promote and maintain a safe and fair working culture
11. Follow proper hoisting and rigging practices

You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:

Qualifications:

1. Must have minimum of 5 years' experience in CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) foundation and shoring drilling activities.
2. Education: grade 12 with diploma
3. Understand and interpret drawings
4. Knowledgeable in construction cut off elevations
5. Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment
6. Designations: Valid Driver's License/Ground Disturbance

Technical Skills:

1. Understands the means and methods of construction associated with foundation drilling, site utility, underground utility, and construction
2. Knowledgeable with ground disturbance, ground stabilization along trenches, underground and overhead utilities
3. Operates equipment and has a strong understanding of capabilities
