Job Duties:

  • Oversee the financial, technical, and artistic aspects of this motion picture and television production company.
  • Establish objectives for the company in terms of film and television productions completed.
  • Manage the plan, scope, and control of the various stages of producing a feature film or television production from screenplay development through to delivery to the distributors.
  • Arrange the financing for film and television productions.
  • Plan and control the budget for film and television productions.
  • Manage and coordinate distribution contracts, production loans, and production business affairs.
  • Liaise and communicate with entertainment attorneys, entertainment industry banks, and international motion picture distributors.
  • Hire and supervise directors, production management, and crew personnel.

Terms of employment: Permanent and full-time.

The language of work: English.

Wage: $39.10 per hour.

Skills Requirements:

Required Education:

  • A university degree or college diploma in performing arts, broadcasting, journalism, business administration, theatre production or film studies, and experience in a technical or production occupation in motion pictures, broadcasting or theatre.

Required Work Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated creative ability.
  • Substantial experience in the motion picture and/or television production industries.
  • General, non-coding experience with Artificial Intelligence applications.
  • Substantial experience in:
    • Managing the plan, scope, and control of the various stages of producing a feature film or television production from screenplay development through delivery to distributors.
    • Financing motion pictures and television productions including experience with distribution contracts, production loans, production business affairs, entertainment attorneys, entertainment industry banks, and international motion picture distributors.
    • Hiring and supervising production management, writing staff, and cast and crew personnel.
  • Substantial experience as a motion picture director in:
    • Interpreting screenplays and selecting, rehearsing and directing actors – including leading (“star”) actors – to achieve the desired presentation for a narrative motion picture.
    • Supervising and advising motion picture crew personnel to achieve a desired presentation from pre-production through post production of a narrative motion picture.
