Nutrition North America / Dressings

Nutrition North America has factories in Kansas City, Chicago, and Toronto that produce the core Hellmann’s and Knorr volume for Canada and the United States.

What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be

Will manage the end-to-end delivery of the condiment’s technology projects for the Dressings Category in Canada. This includes direct capital project management of innovation and technology changes at Rexdale, and third-party manufacturers. Provides support and expertise to the day to day and reliability activities at the factory and runs trials at the factory for all pack and process changes. Reports to Category Engineering Manager, Nutrition.

Experiences & Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Minimum

  1. Education: BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
  2. Experience: 3+ Years of Engineering in FMCG / foods / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment or equivalent technical experience.
  3. Project Management, Maintenance, R&D, Operations, and/or continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; along with the ability to influence others.
  5. Must have obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and be able to charge forward with a challenging and pioneering spirit.
  6. Ability to clearly understand operating principles and establish correct operating standards while visualizing clearly what the ideal production system is.
  7. Must have experience with cost engineering and be able to make logical decisions based on data.

Preferred

  1. First-hand experience delivering or leading start-up for major capital projects ($1+ million) within Unilever or similar FMCG environment.
  2. Experience: 5+ Years of Project Engineering in FMCG / foods / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment.
  3. Experience in Manufacturing Excellence, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), Lean manufacturing, and/or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a plus.
  4. Experience working in a Research and Development team is a plus.
  5. Experience in Allen Bradley programming is preferred.
