Are you an Occupational Health Nurse looking for a new opportunity? Do you have a passion for fostering quality care for employees in the workplace? We are recruiting an Occupational Health Nurse for our refinery in Montreal.

In this casual position, the Occupational Health Nurse assures the quality, integrity, and value of health services while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Health & Safety professionals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bilingual: French & English (Please submit your resume in ENGLISH)
  • A post-secondary education in nursing
  • Licence to practice in Quebec and hold a current registration with the Ordre des Infirmières et Infirmiers du Quebec (OIIQ)
  • Spirometry and Audiometry Certification
  • Experience in heavy industrial settings preferred
  • Experience in health surveillance testing and programs, as well as conducting new hire medicals
  • Experience providing first aid, emergency response; Advanced First Aid Course or Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations
  • Good computer skills; knowledge of Cority would be considered an asset
  • A valid driver’s licence

Responsibilities:

  • Complete risk based health assessments including audiometric testing, spirometry, ECGs, and blood draws
  • Support integrated disability case management as well as facilitate fitness to work assessments and return to work programs
  • Collect and analyze comprehensive medical information and confidential medical records
  • Provide assessment and treatment of ill or injured workers
  • Attend to medical emergency related incidents as requested by the on duty Emergency Coordinator, in accordance with medical procedures/protocols approved by Suncor’s medical director

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work at our Montréal refinery, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
  • This is a casual position and hours of work will vary; expected to average 8 hours (1 shift) per week, primarily days, Monday to Friday
  • Additional hours (including night and weekend shifts) may be required during outages (2-4 weeks, one to two times per year)
  • You may be called upon to shift focus or take on additional initiatives
