FULL TIME, CARPENTER’s ASSISTANT .

Job Duties:

• Gathering and organizing tools, materials, and equipment: This includes ensuring everything is readily available for the carpenter’s use.
• Cutting, measuring, and shaping wood or other construction materials: Assisting with preparing materials according to specifications.
• Loading and unloading materials: Moving materials to and from the work area.
• Cleaning materials: Preparing materials before and after each use.

Worksite Setup & Maintenance:

• Setting up and dismantling work areas: Preparing the workspace for the carpenter and ensuring it’s safe and organized.
• Arranging and securing materials: Ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently.
• Cleaning and maintaining carpentry tools and equipment: Keeping tools in good working order.
• Cleaning the worksite: Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Skills/Qualifications:

· Looking for someone who is experienced in carpentry or has been a carpenter’s assistant

· Deck and Fence building is an asset, this includes some digging and the use of a wheelbarrow

· Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 to 100 pounds

· Must be able to work in all weather conditions

· Should be able to work independently as well as in a team environment

Additional Information:

· Compensation: $20 – $25/hour Dependent on skill and experience

· Job type: Full-time

· Schedule: Monday – Friday – 8 hours shifts
