Caretaker/Cleaner

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to perform various maintenance tasks. As a Caretaker, you will ensure that our environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all visitors.

Duties

• Perform routine custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Conduct commercial cleaning of facilities to maintain high standards of hygiene.
• Carry out facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for maintenance tasks.
• Assist with heavy lifting and moving furniture or equipment as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance issues or needs.
• Manage time efficiently to complete assigned duties within designated timeframes.
• Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards.

Skills

• Strong facilities maintenance skills with experience in custodial work.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with visitors and staff.
• Proficient in commercial cleaning techniques and practices.
• Familiarity with power tools and hand tools for various maintenance tasks.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks appropriately.
• Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Must know English fluently.
• Must have computer skills and should know how to use Excel and Microsoft Word.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.40-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
