As a Cannabis Production Supervisor, you will report to the West Blvd Cannabis Co senior management team and carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the COO and the Quality Control Lead to supervise the back of house operations.
- Oversee general operations staff on a daily basis, communicating with production/contract staff to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control Lead and communicate with back of house staff on daily and weekly production schedules.
- Conduct scheduling of back of house contractors in collaboration with the COO/Operations team.
- Communicate with contractors regarding production scheduling.
- Ensure proper West Blvd standard operating procedures are followed by all members of the operations team.
- Maintain proper Health Canada operating procedures for back of house operations.
- Ensure appropriate work wear and cleanliness guidelines are followed by all staff at all times.
- Responsible for opening and closing back of house operations, including:
- Room setup.
- Batch Record completion.
- End of day clean up and close out oversight.
- Responsible for shipping cannabis products from West Blvd to customers, including:
- Provincial wholesalers.
- Direct delivery to retail stores.
- Utilize Elevated Signals for back of house operations, including:
- Scale verifications.
- Level I and II cleans.
- Shipping.
- Identify new opportunities to optimize back of house workflow and efficiency.
- Train new hires.
- Lead communication with back of house contractors.
- Establish room setup for daily production, including scale verifications.
- Work with COO and Quality Control Lead to determine daily, weekly, and monthly production scheduling.
- Communicate with all Back of House staff regarding scheduling, sick days, holidays, etc.
- Responsible for shipping finished West Blvd products to customers, including:
- Elevated tracking.
- Purolator oversight.
- Working in tandem with shipping partners to coordinate on-time and in-full delivery of goods.
- Ensure all staff are wearing appropriate PPE.
- Ensure all required Health Canada batch clearance documentation is completed during a typical production day.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory warehouse role.
- Advanced working knowledge of all relevant provincial and federal regulations and safety codes with respect to cannabis production and distribution.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential.

- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to follow, implement, and supervise on-site safety and quality control measures.
- Ability to solve problems and make on-the-spot decisions.
- Track record of meeting deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 25-50 lbs frequently, as well as bend, stoop, and twist.
