Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated lead Campus Pastor with supervisory skills. In this leadership position, the Campus Pastor will serve as a preacher, teacher, and spiritual leader, guiding the direction of spiritual wellness within the Elim Village community. Operating from a Christian faith perspective, the Campus Pastor will collaborate with the Community Life team to enrich the spiritual lives of residents, staff, and volunteers, fostering a strong sense of community, authenticity, and support. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to supervise and guide others effectively.

Qualifications

• Degree in Theology and a Masters of Divinity (or equivalent)
  Education courses/training relevant to spiritual care, loss, and grief support; end-of-life (other)
• Training and/or experience working with older adults
• Sensitivity and ability to work with spiritual, religious, and cultural diversity
• Counselling education would be an asset
• Computer literate, proficient user of Microsoft Office suite

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Comfortable learning and preaching at church services, bible studies, funerals and memorial services, and administering ordinances
• Able to uphold ethical and professional standards and behave in a manner that upholds the values, standards of care and faith heritage of Elim Village
• Multicultural understanding and the ability to support the many spiritual paths, lifestyles, beliefs, and values of individuals, especially older adults
• Strong understanding and compliance with the principles and practice of confidentiality
• Excellent active listening skills, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member
• Proven supervisory skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and support a team, fostering a positive and effective work environment
• Able to generate rapport rapidly with a wide diversity of residents and those close to them
• Committed to personal, physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual well-being and development
• Comfortable initiating conversations with residents and families

Notes

• This is a permanent full-time position, 24/7 on-call coverage will be required
• Competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience
• This job requires the ability to attend special events and meetings off-site, be on call 24/7 to attend to emergencies and provide emotional support, work on Sundays and attend emergency visits outside regular hours
• Wage Rate: $44.56 to $50.42 per hour
