The Ulkatcho First Nation is one of four communities making up the Dakelh or Southern Carrier tribal nation in central British Columbia. The Ulkatcho community and offices are located in scenic Anahim Lake, with access to an unparalleled natural beauty at the western edge of the Chilcotin District.
The Ulkatcho government is responsible for 22 reserves with a population of 729 members living on-reserve, and another 200 living off reserve. Our expansive traditional territory includes the waters flowing west on the Chilcotin Plateau and includes Tweedsmuir Park.

About the Opportunity
Ulkatcho First Nation has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Director of Child, Family & Social Development to join our team in Anahim Lake, B.C.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing child, family, and social development programs while managing the community’s income assistance initiatives to support overall well-being.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for developing, managing, and implementing child and family social services, income assistance programs, and community wellness initiatives in alignment with community and governmental policies.

To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field, with 5+ years of experience working with multi-barrier, at-risk, and/or First Nations populations in a leadership capacity.
