Camp Cook/Assistant Cook - Northwaters & Langskib - Temagami, ON

Northwaters & Langskib is excited to welcome a dedicated and proactive Assistant Cook to our Lake Temagami island base camps this summer. This full-time, seasonal position runs June through August/September. As an Assistant Cook, you’ll work in collaboration with our Head Cook, assisting in preparing three homemade, nutritionally balanced meals daily for varying numbers of campers and staff, ranging from 10 to 60, while accommodating a diverse range of dietary needs.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a mature, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have experience cooking for large groups, be comfortable living in a communal summer camp environment, and enjoy working collaboratively in a dynamic, nature-focused setting.

What You’ll Need

• At least three months of prior experience cooking in a professional setting.
• Comfortable working under the guidance of our Head Cook, assisting with food preparation and kitchen tasks.
• Ability to assist with meal prep for large groups while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to take on new challenges.
• Flexibility and teamwork skills, contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.
• Current Food Safety Certification.
• Comfort with communal living in a summer camp environment.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have, but Not Required)

• Pleasure Craft Operator Card and motorboat handling proficiency.

Contract duration: June 10 – August 20, 2025 (with the possibility of extension through September 30).
