General Motors CAMI Assembly is Canada’s first, all-electric vehicle assembly plant. The Role

We are looking for an experienced Pipefitter to join our CAMI Facility!

Key Responsibilities

  1. Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and drawings.
  2. Install pipes using various welding and plumbing techniques.
  3. Perform regular inspections and repair broken or leaking pipes.
  4. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.
  5. Measure and cut pipes using various tools to ensure proper fit before installation.
  6. Join pipes using welding, soldering, or adhesive techniques ensuring leak-proof connections.
  7. Inspect and test piping systems for safety and performance, adjusting as necessary.
  8. Collaborate with other trades professionals to ensure timely completion of projects.
  9. Follow all safety protocol, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  10. Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems.
  11. Fabricate and install piping systems for various applications, including water tower, silo material piping, etc.
  12. Weld pipes using appropriate techniques to ensure durability and reliability.
  13. Maintain and repair existing piping systems as needed.
  14. Read and interpret schematics to accurately build and rig piping layouts.
  15. Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precise fittings and installations.
  16. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
  17. Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while performing all tasks.
