Job Description

As a Calibration Engineer specializing in On-Board Diagnostics (OBD), you will play a crucial role in developing innovative OBD strategies for engine propulsion control systems. This position offers the opportunity to:

  • Review system and software designs.
  • Generate comprehensive test plans.
  • Manage vehicle/test-bench/virtual resources.
  • Create and validate compliant calibrations for future propulsion system programs.

Working collaboratively with hardware development, controls and software development, program management, test fleet support, and vehicle and compliance teams, you will:

  • Guide the instrumentation of electrical and physical systems.
  • Plan and schedule chassis dynamometer emissions testing.
  • Utilize data from acquisition software (INCA) to ensure the achievement of desired diagnostic behavior.

The engineer will:

  • Gather requirements and milestone dates to plan and execute development on time for successful product launches.
  • Have the opportunity to travel 1-4 weeks throughout the year for system validation/verification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in OBD, emissions calibration, or controls.
  • Proficiency in using INCA, Matlab, and Simulink/Stateflow.
  • Basic understanding of gasoline, hybrid, or electric propulsion system hardware and function.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business acumen.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applications.

Additional Information

This position requires daily commute to the USA. The candidate will need to be eligible for TN Visa.
