Are you ready to take the next big step in your hospitality career? Café Boulud is currently looking for a talented and dynamic Full-Time Host who shares our passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do!

About the role:

By nature of the position, the Host is the guests’ first impression of the restaurant and bar. They greet guests promptly, courteously, and graciously with eye contact and a smile. Utilizing Open Table, the individual takes reservations, reviews the daily reservation book, and has the ability to seat guests with/without reservations. They have a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients, and what is unavailable for that day. A principal role within the restaurant and bar, the Host is familiar with server stations, their daily assignments, their personal timing patterns, and their maximum workload capacity. The Host is also familiar with frequent guests and knows their names and preferences.

What you will bring:

We are looking for individuals with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English is also required. The Host requires continuous standing for the majority of the shift. The ideal candidate will have a confident, outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request! The ability to remain calm under pressure is essential, and applicants must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Smart Serve certification is a must.

Preferred qualifications & skills:

1. At minimum 1 year previous Host experience in a fast-paced food and beverage operation
2. Exceptional communication skills and command of the English language
3. Additional language a definite asset for career growth
4. Completion of Post Secondary Education in Hospitality or related field.
