Oldershaw Steel Services, owned by Brannon Steel, is looking for a CAD Operator/CNC Programmer to work day shift (Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm) at its Etobicoke manufacturing facility. Starting from $21 per hour, you will apply mechanical design principles to turn customer drawings and specifications into production CAD files for a variety of industrial processes.
Responsibilities
Interpret customer designs and specifications.
Operate industrial CAD / CAM software (i.e. AutoCAD, ProNest) to output production drawings and layouts.
Daily maintenance of the plate inventory system to ensure accuracy and optimization of materials used.
Communicate with sales and engineering staff regarding work requirements.
Provide information and support to production staff.
Maintain standards for document control, quality, and traceability.
Maintain accurate electronic and paper files.
Requirements
Completion of a post-secondary mechanical design or similar program.
Proficient with CAD / CAM applications such as AutoCAD and ProNest.
Fluent in both imperial and metric systems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Working knowledge of GD&T.
Read, write, and speak English at a conversational level.
Complete work independently based on assigned priorities.
