CAD Engineer / Draughtsman

Location: Watford

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) + benefits

Position: Permanent

Our client is a key player in providing innovative noise control and acoustic solutions, specializing in the energy sector. After achieving significant growth in the past year, our clients are looking for a CAD Engineer / Draughtsman to join their team to work on projects all throughout the UK.

The ideal candidate will lead the creation of innovative, high-quality engineered designs for a variety of noise control projects, working in both 2D and 3D. This role requires previous experience collaborating with civil, MEP design and construction teams.

Key responsibilities:

1. Managing coordination tasks with clients including integrating models, performing quality checks, and detecting clashes using software tools.
2. Creating detailed layout designs and technical drawings based on site surveys.
3. Designing general layouts and producing precise outline CAD drawings.
4. Working closely with engineers and project managers to gain a clear understanding of project requirements and specifications.

Required Qualifications & Exposure:

1. At least 3 years of experience using a 3D Modeling tool.
2. Knowledge of BIM coordination, including familiarity with BS/ISO standards.
3. Understanding of HVDC industry is desirable but not mandatory.
