C-IT-200 Product Cybersecurity Specialist Intern

Montreal - 8585 Cote-De-Liesse, QC, Canada

This position is exclusively open to students in the process of obtaining an academic degree.

Internship date: May 5 to August 22, 2025.

The role we are offering you:

As a Product Cybersecurity Specialist Intern, your mission is to create and implement various security solutions consisting of policies, standards, controls, processes, and technological controls in information security, and ensure technological monitoring.

Every day you will be called upon to work on CAE's high-tech products, whether it is the full flight simulator, classrooms, virtual training solutions, or medical equipment.

Your roles and main responsibilities

  1. Analyze the specifications to assess the safety risks on the training product.
  2. Implement security measures and data recovery plans.
  3. Install, configure, test, and upgrade security software within a product laboratory.
  4. Secure networks with firewalls, password protection, and other systems.
  5. Inspect hardware for vulnerable access points.

Soft skills:

  1. Demonstrate a sense of collaboration (teamwork).

Technical skills:

  1. Be in the process of obtaining a college degree in computer science, or a university degree in computer science or computer science engineering or a related program.
  2. Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  3. Knowledge of network products (e.g., Cisco).
  4. Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, and COBIT frameworks and standards, an asset.
  5. Knowledge of distributed system paradigms and real-time systems, an asset.
  6. Knowledge of tools for vulnerability identification and aggregation of log entries (e.g., Rapid 7 Insight VM, Kiwi Syslog, Splunk, etc.).

Preferred Education

  1. Cyber Security Related Education.
  2. Computer Science Related Education.

Location of the internship is Montreal. Internship will be carried out in Hybrid Mode.

*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign, and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.

*Please take note that if you are on a student, work, or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take a minimum of 16 weeks.
