By-Law Enforcement Officer - North Bay

At Securiguard your hard work is recognized and rewarded! Currently seeking to hire and place several security guards part-time for our bylaw enforcement officer position in North Bay, Ontario. The candidate must be able to commit to commuting to the job site in North Bay.

We are looking for guards available on days, nights, and weekends on a part-time basis, with the opportunity for full-time hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primary duties are parking enforcement foot patrol in the downtown North Bay area. Candidates will need to be able to walk for long periods of time in various types of climate.
• Issuing parking infraction notices using an automated handheld system.
• Issuing various By-law tickets, as directed by the By-law Enforcement Supervisor.
• Collecting evidence as required.
• Attending court and presenting evidence, as required, by the City Prosecutor.
• Providing guidance and information to the general public.
• Providing security at City Hall, as required.
• Providing security outside POA court, as required.
• Additional security guard duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Security Guard Licence
• Valid Ontario Driver's Licence
• Valid First Aid / CPR certificate
• Must be able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete daily logs and write detailed reports.
• Basic computer skills.
• Police Foundations or similar post secondary education preferred.
• Must have your own transportation to and from work location.
