Job Title: Business Systems Analyst Job Location: Remote (west coast of Canada) Job Duration: 06 Months on W2
Key Responsibilities: M&A IT Integration & Migration Management Lead the end-to-end migration of Google Workspace and other collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Asana) as part of M&A integration efforts. Assess existing systems, identify dependencies, and develop integration strategies to ensure a seamless transition. Work with IT, Security, and business stakeholders to define migration scope, success criteria, and risk mitigation strategies. Support the consolidation of domains, user accounts, permissions, email routing, file-sharing structures, and access controls. Scoping, Requirements Gathering & Dependency Management Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements. Identify interdependencies between collaboration applications, infrastructure, and business processes. Work with IT and Security teams to ensure compliance with data governance and security policies during migration. Develop data mapping, transformation rules, and access management strategies to align with M&A objectives.
Solution Design & Project Execution: Partner with engineering, IT, and third-party vendors to design solutions that align with business needs and IT standards. Define and document migration workflows, automation processes, and integration solutions. Collaborate with technical teams to implement API-based integrations and automation for user provisioning, permissions, and data migration. Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and post-migration validation to ensure smooth transition. Project Planning, Tracking & Status Reporting Develop and maintain detailed project plans, outlining key milestones, dependencies, and risks. Track progress, update stakeholders, and provide regular status reports to leadership. Identify risks early, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate issues as needed. Coordinate post-migration support, issue resolution, and user training as required. Change Management & Communications Develop and implement change management strategies to support end-user adoption and minimize disruption during collaboration tool migrations. Identify potential resistance points, develop mitigation plans, and work with stakeholders to address concerns proactively. Develop and deliver training sessions, documentation, and knowledge base articles to educate employees on new tools, processes, and best practices. Establish mechanisms for collecting user feedback before, during, and after the migration to refine processes and enhance user experience. Create and execute communication plans to keep leadership, IT teams, and end users informed throughout the migration process. Provide regular updates, FAQs, and user guides to ensure transparency and preparedness before, during, and after the transition.
Qualifications & Experience: 5+ years of experience as a BSA, IT Systems Analyst, or related role in enterprise IT environments. Strong hands-on experience managing Google Workspace migrations (including domain consolidation, user access management, email, and Drive migrations). Experience with collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, Asana, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams. Proven track record leading M&A IT integration projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, and execution. Knowledge of data migration tools, integration platforms, and API-based automation for Google Workspace and SaaS applications. Understanding of IAM, SSO (Google Workspace, Okta), security controls, and compliance standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and drive decision-making.
