Agricorp is looking for a Business Planning Analyst to join the Business Planning department in our Strategic Management and Communications division.
The Role
Role
As Business Planning Analyst you will support organization-wide business planning processes and related performance reporting, so that Agricorp can effectively structure its plans to fulfill its mandate, meet its obligations and communicate its performance to stakeholders in a meaningful way. In this role, you will:
- Coordinate the cross-divisional planning calendar and activities to ensure timely and effective planning
- Initiate and manage cross-divisional reporting calendar and activities to ensure timely receipt of accurate data for reporting to stakeholders
- Investigate discrepancies in reporting data, collaborating with internal sources to correct inaccuracies and explain unusual or unexpected findings
- Write reports and planning documents combining information from multiple sources and tailoring it to the information needs of the audience
- Establish and maintain a network of collaborative working relationships across the organization
- Help managers and staff understand the planning and reporting processes and proper implementation of standard tools and templates
- Provide managers and staff with hands-on support for report writing, documentation, analysis, and interpretative comments and graphic/visual presentations
- As the organization develops and evolves, update the planning and reporting processes to accommodate changes
- Undertake research and analysis on key issues
- Support the Executive Committees Advisor by providing corporate committees and Board support when required.
Job status: Permanent
Salary: $69,363 - $81,603
Location: Must live and work in Ontario to perform this role
Work Status: Full time in office and hybrid work arrangements are available
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (university or college) that includes content in business analytics and reporting or equivalent experience
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in an analyst role
- Experience in business planning, collecting and disseminating performance metrics and project management
- Written and verbal communications skills
- An understanding of Agricorp’s business and programs
- Proficiency in the use of relevant software (e.g., Word, Excel and data analytics tools)
- Agricultural and public sector experience an asset
