If you are looking for a Data & Analytics career in the investment management industry, BCI is hiring for a new Business Intelligence Engineer II to join our world class Corporate Data & Operations department. This is an exciting time to be a part of a centralized team delivering re-usable datasets, reporting, data science, and data governance. This is a 12-month term role with a preference for someone located in Victoria, BC (or willing to relocate to Victoria, BC). The ability to work from our downtown Vancouver office could be considered for the right candidate.
The Corporate Data & Operations department is a central hub that delivers essential business services across all departments within BCI. The department is comprised of three branches: Data & Analytics, Workplace Services, and Business Planning. The department facilitates BCI’s corporate strategy and plays an integral role in its execution by ensuring staff have high-quality data, advanced analytics for decision-making, and well-appointed global offices for collaboration. The department is a critical part of how BCI delivers long-term value for our clients.
Reporting to the Manager, Data & Analytics (Operations), the Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for conducting requirements gathering and business analysis, designing, developing, and delivering Business Intelligence (BI) solutions such as reports and dashboards. The BI Engineer works closely with internal team members, such as the Data Product Manager and Data Engineers, and collaborates with the business and technology teams.
The following responsibilities are illustrative of a standard Level 2 and may be scaled down or up in leadership, complexity, and autonomy based upon the level selected.
Work from our downtown Victoria office.

The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $90,000 to $109,000.
The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered, and consideration to internal equity.

We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.
Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.
