Job description

This position is based out of Montreal and therefore you must be bilingual in French and English. Extensive travel(approx 70%-80% travel) may be required including travel to the US. Therefore you must be entitled for a TN Visa (eligible to Canadian citizens) or a have another work visa for the US.

You will:

·Understand and translate client’s business requirements into workable technical solutions.

·Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and production success. Services may include: product installation and implementation, enhancement, integration or audit to meet customer business requirements

·Complete all levels of application testing and q/a.

·Prepare all required documentation (specifications, design, system, training, user).

·Ensure up-to-date knowledge in industry business and technology solutions, through self-motivated approach to continuous learning.

·Provide presentations, internally and/or with clients, as required.

·Mentor other consultants as required.

·Other duties as assigned.

You have:

·Minimum5 years BI (business intelligence) technical experience

·Very strong data architecture, data modeling, data mining skills (e.g., dimensions, metadata, etc.)

·Data Warehouse/Mart knowledge and experience is preferred, including knowledge of common industry approaches including star schema and ‘corporate information factory’.

·Strong java skills for integration and customizations.

·Knowledge of and experience with:

·databases including one or more: Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix, Sybase

·Windows and Unix

·client server and web based environments

·connectivity issues, infrastructure and protocols

·one or more of:BEA Weblogic, Websphere, J2EE, web development

·Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience (SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript)

·Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills.

·Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

·Ability to work independently and with a team.

It will be nice if you have…

· Consulting experience with external clients, in competitive situations (independent software vendor company or Big4 consulting).

·ETL software (any flavour such as Informatica, AbInitio, etc)

·Experience with BI products and tools (e.g., Cognos, Teradata, Peregrine, spss, g5, Hyperion, SAS, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Information Builders (IBI), Angoss, CRM, etc).
