Business Development Manager - Safety Specialist

Agilus is recruiting for a Business Development Manager - Safety Specialist in the Construction Sector in Calgary, Alberta. This Business Development Manager role promotes sales efforts by partnering with internal stakeholders to drive growth in the safety category, focusing on both new and existing customers. The Business Development Manager - Safety role promotes the company’s safety solutions and ensures high-quality training delivery.

How you will make an impact:

1. Partners with territory sales team to drive growth and expansion of the safety category with both existing and new customers.
2. Lead efforts to acquire larger projects and national key accounts, overseeing national account programs from a safety perspective.
3. Manage all safety training within the province/territory, including certifying internal staff in various safety areas.
4. Work with territory sales team to coordinate and deliver specific safety training in the field for major accounts/customers.
5. Handle administrative duties such as preparing quotations, proposals, and following up on field activities.
6. Serve as a safety expert to engage with customers and promote the company’s safety business.

The successful candidate brings:

1. 5+ years of experience in a related field.
2. Has a proactive sales approach with the ability to engage and build strong customer relationships.
3. Outgoing personality, confident in interacting with others, leaving a lasting impression that encourages repeat business.
4. Background in the construction or industrial sector, specifically safety is not required but preferred.
5. Possesses a reliable vehicle and is available for daily and overnight travel.
