Business Development Manager - EMCO InnTech Solutions

  • Full-time
  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000

About EMCO Innovative Technology Solutions:

InnTech (EMCO Innovative Technology Solutions) is a division of EMCO that provides design, engineering and project management services to HVAC/mechanical contractors through our network of local EMCO HVAC Profit Centers across Canada. At InnTech, we focus on delivering highly efficient, low carbon HVAC solutions that optimize efficiency and thermal comfort for commercial and residential buildings. We are looking to expand our team and services to better equip our customers with the tools and knowledge required to stay ahead of their competition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of HVAC products, systems and their applications.
  • Support customer inquiries with technical guidance on HVAC products and installations.
  • Create project proposals with strong value propositions.
  • Manage and grow a pipeline of prospects, tracking progress and performance.
  • Engage with public and private industry stakeholders through tradeshows, webinars, training, and 1-on-1 meetings.
  • Build and sustain effective working relationships with key vendor partners, EMCO profit center teammates, and other industry partners.
  • Conduct site visits and collect information required for heat transfer and ventilation calculations.
  • Communicate project requirements between stakeholders and project engineers.
  • Grow the InnTech brand through social media platforms and promotional material.
  • Interpret engineer drawings and work with project engineers to complete bid package proposals.
  • Deliver creative financial solutions/models to help secure new business.
  • Conduct market research to provide recommendations on new products and market trends.
  • Understand and follow all safety regulations at customer locations and EMCO profit centers.
  • Work remotely or from one of our offices with occasional travel to job sites.
  • Report on sales activities, pipeline development, and market feedback to senior management.

Job Requirements:

  • College diploma or University degree in business, marketing, engineering, architecture, building science, or HVAC trades.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Experience in the construction, plumbing, or HVAC industry is an asset.
