Business Development Manager

Job Summary:
Our client in Ottawa, Ontario is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team!

Responsibilities:

1. Supporting campaign managers and lines of business
2. Researching and report writing
3. Maintaining contact database and ensure it is kept current
4. Developing and maintaining organizational charts
5. Attending trade shows and seminars and assist in their preparations
6. Meeting with suppliers
7. Assisting in the response to all governance, compliance and other internal requirements
8. Preparing and coordinating all sponsorship and community investment requests
9. Buying and Selling tracking and reporting
10. Performing additional functions as required

Qualifications:

1. Experience and knowledge of the Canadian defence industry is essential
2. A policy background that includes research and report writing would be preferred
3. Proven ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, in a professional environment
4. Proven ability to work autonomously, use sound judgement and set priorities to achieve tasks in-line with agreed timeframes, particularly whilst working under pressure
5. Microsoft Office software, and particularly PowerPoint experience to a comprehensive level is essential
