Here’s what you will do:
Business Development & Lead Generation – Identify and engage with developers, builders, architects, and other industry professionals to promote renewable and low-carbon energy solutions.
Sales Strategy Execution – Implement and refine sales strategies to drive growth within low-rise new construction sector.
Customer Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their energy needs and position the company’s solutions effectively.
Proposal Development & Negotiation – Prepare and present compelling proposals, manage contract negotiations, and secure project commitments.
Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence – Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Collaboration with Internal Teams – Work closely with engineering, product development, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting – Track sales performance, pipeline activity, and key metrics to support business planning and decision-making.
Event Participation & Networking – Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to generate leads and increase brand awareness.
Responsible for assigned sales targets supporting the team’s overall objectives.
Who you are:
A bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, or Engineering) and 6+ years of directly related experience in B2B Sales, business development, and marketing strategy.
Strong understanding of the new construction markets.
Experience selling low carbon, renewable and HVAC systems.
Customer and result focused.
Strong ability to be innovative, strategic, and initiate change.
Work independently, highly organized and able to lead multiple priorities.
Negotiation experience with external parties.
Excellent interpersonal, and strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong team skills for working with various functional areas, external vendors, and various support areas.
Preferred:
Masters in business administration.
Membership in Professional Engineers of Ontario or similar professional organization.
Working Conditions:
Travelling including overnight, mainly within Ontario is required. A valid Ontario G class driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required.
Regular visits to customer facilities and job sites to assess energy efficiency opportunities on a weekly basis.
