Job Description Summary

Student positions (including co-ops and interns) at Suncor are more than just a work term. They provide you with significant and meaningful work experiences to help enable you to figure out where you want your career to go – better yet, many of our students go on to become permanent Suncor employees after they graduate! You will work side-by-side with some of the most talented people in the energy industry, and your work assignments and mentoring will offer you outstanding academic and career growth.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus in Communications, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Journalism, Digital Media, Economics, Marketing, General Management, or a related program.

  • You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term.

  • Attach your most recent transcripts with your application.

  • For some roles, you may need to possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Location and Other Key Details:

  • Placements will be in various areas of the business including: Marketing, Human Resources, SunCares, Petro-Canada EV Charging Group, Petro-Canada Retail, Commercial JV Governance and Strategy & Business Development.

  • This is a/an 4, 8, 12, or 16-month term commitment beginning in September 2025. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application.

  • Potential locations for these student roles include Calgary, St. John's, and Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo). You will be asked to indicate your location preferences in your application.

  • Relocation support will be provided if required.

  • Students who live and work in Fort McMurray are eligible for a cash allowance to address the cost of living and the remote nature of the region.
