Reporting to the Business Analyst Lead, the Viewpoint Business Analyst is accountable for working collaboratively with Project Managers, interact with business stakeholders, vendors leading and facilitating Viewpoint solution design sessions, and the recommendation of optimization through business processes creation and updates.

This position can be based in any location where Bird has an office in Canada.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented individual that brings functional and/or techno-functional expertise in Trimble Viewpoint ERP and Viewpoint portal, has a knack for details and thrives on working in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

As a Viewpoint Business Analyst, you will be tasked with understanding and supporting business needs, recommending changes to drive continuous improvement, implementing new solutions, and providing comprehensive support for various systems integrated with Viewpoint.

Working closely with our Project Managers, you will interact with cross-functional teams, vendors to consider downstream effects of configuration choices in Viewpoint.

Your expertise will be essential in delivering business analysis deliverables and collaborating on process improvements to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. You may also be involved in supporting data-driven activities such as data conversions and data analytics projects. By leveraging your analytical skills and technical knowledge, you will enhance the overall efficiency and success of Bird’s Digital Services (DS) initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Meet with relevant stakeholders to define business, financial, and operations requirements to perform fit/gap analysis in Viewpoint.

  • Translate business requirements into detailed configuration and functional specifications to support application configuration, development, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Support Integrations, technology design and re-design activities in Viewpoint through interpretation, clarification, and documentation of business requirements, processes, business rules, and impacts of proposed changes.

  • Prepare documentation including user guides, process guides, operations manuals, business analysis work products (BRD, matrix, etc.), data dictionary, testing reports, training documentation for Viewpoint.

  • Actively support projects through different project stages, including development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, data conversion and production implementation.

  • Perform and/or support data conversion tasks including but not limited to developing the approach and timeline, providing subject matter expertise (SME) in Viewpoint, data mapping between source system(s) and Viewpoint, data validation in Viewpoint, and investigation and issue resolution.

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases and test summary to facilitate Go/No Go decisions; coordinate testing activities and facilitate issues resolution prior to and after Go Live.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Services or equivalent.

  • A minimum of 5 years of practical system analysis experience, analyzing business needs, translating those needs into solution design documents, and working with the development/project team to implement the solutions.

  • 4 – 6 years of experience working in a complex business process environment.

  • Experience working with Trimble Viewpoint – Construction ERP is required. Functional knowledge of the Viewpoint Payroll module is considered an asset.

  • Experience with SQL and understanding of relational databases is preferred.

  • Experience in facilitating workshops and training sessions with diverse groups of stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical/problem solving skills and project management experience.

  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing re-engineered business processes and associated applications.

  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment.

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

  • Certification in Business Analysis area like IIBA is an asset.
