Duration: Regular Full Time
Salary: $7,946 – 8,285 – 8,647 – 9,014 – 9,394/month
Schedule: 70 hours bi-weekly; Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM

The Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst 2 to join the IT Systems & Knowledge team within IT Client Services. Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Systems & Knowledge, the Business Analyst 2 is responsible for sustaining existing business applications, deploying applications, and developing or configuring applications, with a focus on ServiceNow. The Business Analyst interacts with Project Managers and cross-functional project teams, participates in the development of business requirements, business processes and procedures, unit tests, and conducts module walkthroughs. The role also includes coordinating user reviews of configured applications, preparing and maintaining a variety of reports and records related to the work, and keeping abreast of recent developments in computer techniques and procedures. Additionally, the analyst performs research, assembles information, organizes, and facilitates business workshops and related documentation.

Qualifications: Completion of a university degree at the Bachelor’s level in Computer Science or a related discipline (e.g., Business Administration) and sound related experience in business analysis, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and Certified Implementation Specialist certificates are strong assets. Experience as a ServiceNow Developer and implementing IT Service Management modules within ServiceNow is required. Experience managing ServiceNow system configurations, gathering and documenting user and process requirements, developing workflow customizations, UI design, ACL and business rules, and performing quality assurance testing is essential. Prior knowledge and experience with business analysis within a municipal environment, process modeling, cost benefit analysis, change management, and business process re-engineering will be considered an asset. The candidate should have the ability to utilize agile and scrum methodology, establish and maintain effective working relationships with various internal and external contacts, and present proposals in non-technical language. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and excellent verbal & written communication skills are also required.
