YOUR ROLE

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Product Management and helping drive the success of Oliver's digital transformation and optimization initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, document requirements, and support product initiatives that enhance efficiency and user experience. Your ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams will be instrumental in ensuring the successful development and implementation of optimized digital processes and solutions.

Workplace Arrangement: REMOTE, with occasional travel and on-site work required on demand. The location in the Metro Vancouver area and its alignment with Pacific Time are considered assets.

YOUR IMPACT

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and customer success teams, to gather and document business and functional requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories and process flows.
  • Work with the Director of Product Management to prioritize and refine the product backlog based on business value and client needs.
  • Conduct detailed requirement analysis, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, system integration, and overall workflow efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure business needs are met by working closely with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Process Optimization & Documentation:
  • Analyze existing digital workflows and identify opportunities for process automation and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirement specifications, process diagrams, and use cases.
  • Support the development and implementation of new features and digital optimization solutions by ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, gathering feedback, and ensuring smooth rollout of digital process enhancements.
Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration:
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Support product demonstrations and training sessions for internal teams and external clients.
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing key performance metrics to evaluate the success of digital optimization initiatives.
  • Engage with end users to gather feedback and refine product requirements for improved operational efficiency.
Continuous Improvement & Industry Awareness:
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital process optimization.
  • Recommend process and product enhancements based on user feedback and market research.
  • Assist in competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
WHAT TO EXPECT

In your first three months, you will:
  • Gain a deep understanding of Oliver's digital optimization strategy, platform, and client needs.
  • Work closely with the Director of Product Management to analyze and document key business processes targeted for digital optimization.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives by gathering requirements and assisting in backlog refinement.
  • Assist in developing and presenting insights that drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand process inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.
  • Collaborate on a major project to implement digital process improvements or automation solutions.
THIS IS YOU

Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in a SaaS or benefits administration company.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, supporting product teams with requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Experience in conducting stakeholder interviews, process mapping, and gap analysis.
  • Experience in data analysis, performance tracking, and providing business insights.
  • Experience with digital process automation, optimization tools, and workflow management solutions (preferred).
Technical & Analytical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and business analysis methodologies.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, data analysis, and requirements documentation.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or other analytics/reporting platforms (preferred).
  • Knowledge of SQL or other database query languages (preferred).
  • Familiarity with API integrations, system interoperability concepts, and automation platforms (preferred).
  • Experience in process automation and workflow optimization (nice to have).
Soft Skills:
  • Effective communicator who can articulate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Certifications and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Agile certifications (preferred but not required).
  • Scrum Master certification (nice to have).
  • Digital Process Automation or Business Intelligence certifications (nice to have).
YOUR COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary pay range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, re6levant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
