Business Analyst

The Consultant will be responsible for providing business systems support and provide expertise in the business support areas under the direction of the Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide business systems support and provide expertise in the business support areas
• Provide analysis expertise in developing and deploying business systems enhancements as requested by the user community
• Assist in the coordination of the production support activities for our financial applications
• Support QA efforts including unit test and production deployment
• Help apply best practices of Agile methodology within the development team as required
• Participate in application support cycle as part of a Tier 2 support team
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external counterparts
• Other related activities and deliverables, as required

Required Skills & Experience

• University Degree or College Diploma in business administration, finance, computer science or any other field
• 15 (fifteen) years as a Business Analyst in various organizations
• 5 (five) years of demonstrated experience working with data management applications
• 5 (five) years of demonstrated experience in production support activities with end-users
• Demonstrated experience with backlog grooming and prioritization
• Demonstrated relevant work experience in application development and systems integration as a business analyst
• Demonstrated experience working with an external vendor providing a COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) tool
• Demonstrated knowledge of structured analysis techniques and development tools as applied to business processes, automated systems and workflow analysis
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and recommend appropriate solutions by gathering information across various platforms

Additional Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working within a financial market environment
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification in Business Analysis (CCBA) or other relevant professional designations
• Demonstrated experience working with S&P Global Market Intelligence Enterprise Data Management (formerly Markit EDM)
• French language would be an asset
