Position Summary

We are looking for a Business Analyst (BA) for the Strategy & Corporate Development team within Finance. The incumbent should have strong analytical and organizational capabilities that can immediately contribute and help us tackle the opportunities and challenges that arise from our rapidly growing business. The incumbent will be responsible to support various business initiatives in the organization such as perform Business & Financial Analyses on various aspects of the business, investigate challenges, and help prepare Management Presentations for Metergy’s senior leadership. This role is highly collaborative and the incumbent will be expected to maintain relationships between Finance and various operational departments within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the active projects of the Strategy & Corporate Development team.
  • Coordinate, monitor and contribute in a business or financial capacity on active projects to meet organizational goals.
  • Prepare monthly Management Business Review presentations for senior leadership, that offers an opportunity to work on a highly visible and important business process.
  • Effectively contribute to organizational transformation projects such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), new market entry, acquisitions, and other strategic multi-year initiatives.
  • Conduct workshops, meetings, and discussions with members across the organization as part of your daily activities.
  • Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.
  • Engage and build strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders to incorporate their goals, and instill confidence to ensure alignment to and adoption of solutions.
  • Help standardize organizational processes to increase efficiency around KPI gathering, cost analysis, and deal pricing.
  • Assist in annual insurance renewal process and with any ad-hoc requests related to the corporate insurance program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a business or financial analysis capacity.
  • Strong financial acumen with an ability to read Profit & Loss or Balance Sheet statements (Accounting or Financial Modelling an asset).
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience making presentations.
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Project Management experience or professional designation considered an asset.
