Our Edmonton-based client is looking for a Business Analyst with skills in SharePoint administration and CRM systems. The role is responsible for evaluating and documenting organizational processes; gathering and systematizing requirements; and analyzing current and potential business operations. Additionally, this role will showcase how strategies contribute to our client's success by assessing services, hardware, software, and applications.

The Business Analyst will identify optimal solutions, as well as stay updated on existing and emerging technologies, designing system architecture, data flow, workflows, and will suggest system controls to enhance operational efficiency.

In addition to standard BA responsibilities, this position is also responsible for administrating our SharePoint instance. This includes creating SharePoint sites/pages, onboarding new and transferring employees on the system, and adjusting user permissions. Furthermore, this position is also a liaison between business users and our client's MS Dynamics CRM consultants. Training will be provided for these responsibilities.

Your Strengths Include

  1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Software Development, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
  2. Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Business Analyst or similar role is required.
  3. Ability to effectively influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements, and operational decisions.
  4. Excellent and effective communication and leadership skills.
  5. Certification in BA or project management principles are greatly appreciated.
  6. Familiarity with Paragon or other MLS tools is advantageous, as is knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
  1. Identify and communicate with key stakeholders on a regular basis.
  2. Liaise between various business departments and groups.
  3. Collaborate with various stakeholders to design solutions that meet the client's needs, ensuring usability and efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with project and cross-functional team to implement and monitor key initiatives.
  5. Work with vendors and consultants to create robust systems setup, and data flows to create secure development and transactions.
  6. Attend all staff and department specific meetings and training.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  1. Gather, review and analyze business and industry data, including KPIs, financial reports and other key metrics using data analytics tools.
  2. Build charts, reports, pivot tables, and dashboards that are accurate, presentable and within the established timeframes and rules of compliance and security.
  3. Research new methods for the optimization of data analytics and daily business operations.
Process Improvement and Technology Implementation
  1. Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling.
  2. Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.
  3. Implement new technologies/software to support the dynamic and evolving needs of the organization.
  4. Participate in on-going technology projects and provide regular project reports.
  5. Create and execute project work plans in alignment with client's policies and processes.
  6. Develop policies, procedures, and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches.
  7. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
Training and Documentation
  1. Train staff members on new applications and technologies to ensure smooth adoption.
  2. Develop user guides, step-by-step documentation, and instructional materials to support staff in using new systems efficiently.
  3. Conduct workshops, demonstrations, and ongoing support sessions to address staff questions and challenges.
